Blue belts for you

Tonight Bethia and Luke tested for their blue belts in Tae Kwon Do. It is so fun watching them in class and on testing days. I wish I had the memory they have to keep all the combinations in order. Bethia loves to do her push ups and she is really good at them. Luke loves to answer in is loudest voice, "Yes Sir". I Love the mental and physical skills it gives them. I hope they want to continue on to get their blackbelts. Our dojo is amazing!

Luke and the water

He will be killing me when he is older but for now I just don't want to forget! Sorry Lukey, it is a funny story.

Yesterday Luke had a playdate with his best buddy from school. He was beyond excited. As I was picking him up, the friends mom wanted to explain why Luke was in different clothes. I of course jump to the conclusion that he must have had an accident and was ready to pay to have her carpets cleaned. She went on to explain the real story.

He and his friend decided to play in the backyard with water. They found a box and filled it up and pretended it was a pool. As it drained the friends mom would fill it up again. After the last fill up the mom went inside to check on the sister. She realized it was a bit too quiet outside and went to check again on the boys, and to her surprise they were running around playing pool in their BIRTHDAY SUITS. They figured since their clothes were wet it was obiously better to take them off and not get them anymore wet. After all they weren't their swimming clothes. My little Lukey thought nothing of taking off his clothes to play but getting to wear his friends clothes home; priceless. I love the four year old mind.

Love you Lukey. You make me smile everyday with your silliness!!!

school day part deux

All I know is Luke is mad at me that Bethia gets to go to school 5 days a week and he is not going to stay in the car when I drop her off. She is already loved be her teachers who have called to tell me how wonderful she is. Bethia had to miss the second day because she is sick. Poor little thing was up all night, which in turn means I was up all night too, and now very whiny. Hopefully she will be well enough to go tomorrow so that she isn't considered ditching already. That and I want her to get a lot of use of that uniform, it was a bit pricey.

School Days 2008

The first day of school!! It almost couldn't come soon enough for my kids. They have no idea how their minds will change in the future. Bethia gets to wear a uniform. Lukey wants to wear a uniform and Brad and I get to play just the two of us while they are at school. I can't believe Bethia is in kindergarten. Who'da thunk it. My only complaint is leaving the house at 8:20 am. It just seems too early.
